Set of 6 French silver plated, plate wedges from les fils de Jacques Perille, dating back to mid 19th century.

A plate wedge is a small object that is used to tilt a plate in order to elegantly dip the sauce when eating asparagus or artichokes.

The plate wedge made by the Les Fils de J. Perille factory existed in nickel-plated steel, in porcelain, crystal or silver-plated metal.

At the bottom of all of the pieces there is marked: ‘JP PARIS DEPOSÉ’ and ‘CALE-ASSIETTE’
