Antique French Bronze Candelabra Lamp

A sumptuous example of Belle Époque craftsmanship, this French bronze candelabra lamp from the late 19th century was expertly converted to electric. The circular base, which has a fluted column and a beaded rim, branches into five curved arms that are topped with ivory candle sleeves that have details of fake dripping wax. Inside, flame-shaped bulbs create a cozy, candlelit glow, and classical motifs and elaborate scrollwork allude to Parisian salons and gilded-age splendor. Its base is marked “création luminaire français.”
