A traditional “Long Eliza” motif found in Chinese export goods, the Canton famille rose porcelain plate is hand-painted with figures, blossoming peonies, and birds. Manufactured during the thriving Republic era (1912-1949). A prime example of Guangdong province’s early 20th-century craftsmanship is the polychromatic color scheme of rose pink, jade green, and cobalt blue accents.
